Description
Another new spinosaurid!
This one is unique from the shape of it's teeth.
It's tall thick chompers contain a higher number of lingual ridges, and these ridges span over almost the entire length of the crown. Which is pretty different from the other species of spinosaurs.
The tooth also shows that it's a pretty close relative to Baryonyx, being that the tooth displays an enamel ornamentation that resembles many baryonychines including Baryonyx, but differs from all other known spinosaurids by the large size of the denticles borne by the carinae.
This also shows that this is the earliest (oldest) species of spinosaurid found yet.
